Tess Liautaud Releases Debut Album
Today, Ōtautahi’s Franco-American singer-songwriter, Tess Liautaud has unveiled her debut album.
Following three singles and a 20-date tour of the South Island, the self-titled album features songs a lucky few may recognise.
Recorded in Kurow at Sublime Studio and produced by Steve Harrop this album is an ode to change, reflection, nature, saying goodbye, and the grief that follows.

Most of these songs started out with just Tess and her acoustic, and some of them stayed that way through to the finished product. The finger-style solo tracks give the album a healthy amount of breathing space, contrasting with the band arrangements of the big bright energy of both ‘Breezy As‘ and the dark brooding groove of ‘Lighthouse‘.
