Oozing a wavy R&B vibe, with a heavy bassline, futuristic synths and a smooth beat, Time and Place is a song that captures the fine art of pursuit. “It’s essentially a plea for the other person to see how much you care, while trying to not come off as too invested.”
Influenced by contemporary R&B and old crooners alike Doma Cyno (pronounced CHEE-noh) sets his sights on cultivating lush melodies, set with modern, progressive production. His first release in 2020 – the Interpolations EP – earned him a mild ‘hometown hero’ status with friends and people in his city.
Now the 18-year-old artist is back and he’s raising the bar; moving from bedroom R&B to collaborating with up-and-coming producers Jack Hegarty and Malakhai Sadler, and engineer Justin Cederholm (AKA Jpec The Butterfly Boy).
Time and Place is just the first single from Doma Cyno, who is gearing up to release a string of new tracks, which well and truly makes him one of New Zealand’s most exciting new acts to keep an eye on.
