Corrella To Release ‘Seafarer’ Single on 1 April

Seafarer was written by Petty Officer Electronics Technician Pipiwharauroa Campbell, lead singer of Corrella, while serving at sea on a Royal New Zealand Navy Ship.

Seafarer is a heartfelt dedication to the families that sailors have had to leave behind, every time they go away to sea. Serving the country is a very honourable and rewarding job, but it can be difficult to part ways with family members and loved ones for extended periods.

Corrella has strong ties to the Navy, with three band members formerly serving, and two currently serving. These strong ties influenced the band to keep refining Seafarer, until it recreated those feelings they went through leaving their families behind. This song perfectly captures that feeling of longing, and the unique bond between a sailor, and the people at home waiting.

Seafarer is set for release on 1 April, 2022.
