Saurian Announce Release Date for New Single ‘Ice Cream Man’

Saurian (pronounced: saw-ree-uhn) are gearing up to release their fifth studio single, Ice Cream Man, on the 18th of February, 2022. Ice Cream Man was conceived in an electrifying moment of spontaneity during a gig. The audience passionately demanded encore after encore until the band exhausted their repertoire. A spark went off.

All of a sudden, the band exploded into an aggressive, chaotic jam that combined barked vocals and improvised lyrics from bassist, Sol Wyatt; an infectious call-and-response hook; dissonant chords; thunderous drums that shake your core; a chaotic, noisey guitar solo; and a sense of playful absurdity. Ice Cream Man became an instant fan favourite, inciting yet more calls for an encore. It has since become a setlist staple.

Ice Cream Man was recorded and produced in the home studio of Saurian’s frontman, Karl Brinsdon, staying true to the band’s classic Kiwi DIY ethic. Ice Cream Man will be available on all popular music streaming services, including Spotify; Apple Music; and Tidal.
