Like A Storm Release New Album – Awaken The Fire – On July 31

New Zealand’s most prolific hard rock export, Like A Storm, follow up their 2014 Top 10 EP Chaos Theory Part One with the album Awaken The Fire, on July 31.

Like A Storm is comprised of Auckland-bred brothers Chris Brooks (lead vocals, guitar, didgeridoo, keys/programming), Matt Brooks (vocals, lead guitar, keys/programming), and Kent Brooks (bass, vocals, keys/programming), with Los Angeles-based drummer Zach Wood behind the kit.

The band have built a diehard and devoted fan-base by tirelessly touring America, sharing US stages with some of the most iconic names in rock – including Slash, Korn, Alter Bridge, Five Finger Death Punch & Creed.

The road served as the foundation for their forthcoming release, and first album for Another Century Records, Awaken The Fire. 

Radio has and will continue to be a key component of the band’s fairytale quest for North American dominance. Love the Way You Hate Me stormed the airwaves, hitting the Top 30 on the US Active Rock charts and the Top 10 on the NZ Rock Radio Airplay Chart, and receiving more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.

After returning from their Europe tour with Black Veil Brides, the Kiwi hard rockers have built on their previous single’s success with the latest single, Wish You Hell, hitting #17 on US Hard Rock Radio – making it the first Kiwi song in history to break the Top 20. Like A Storm is now the highest-charting New Zealand Hard Rock act in US radio history.

Dubbed “Voodoo Metal” and featuring the traditional folk instrument – the jaw harp – Wish You Hell was added to Sirius XM’s Octane station and was been met with vast critical acclaim from fans and stations across the US. SiriusXM’s Octane has nominated the band for “Artist Discovery of The Year” and “Song Discovery of The Year,” which is voted on by the fans.
