Mmf Announces Direct To Fan Marketing Seminars

Jessie Scoullar is founding director of Wicksteed Works, a London-based agency specialising in direct-to-fan strategy and management for bands, labels and brands. Hosted by the NZ Music Managers Forum, Jessie is presenting seminars  in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, helping to explain the practice of marketing directly to fans.

The seminars will be divided into two parts: explaining the basics of what direct-to-fan strategy actually is, and how to build those strategies. Each seminar will include a highly interactive workshop, reviewing the theory that underpins the direct-to-fan strategy and how it benefits broader marketing strategies, before approaching campaign planning and how to develop the best platform for each project and artist.

An expert in the field of direct-to-fan marketing, with clients ranging from Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher and  the Eurovision Song Contest, Jessie Scoullar brings  with her a wealth of experience earned from speaking about direct-to-fan strategy at conferences including SXSW, The Great Escape, PrimaveraPro, and The Music Conference. She is also guest lecturer at several universities including BIMM and the London Metropolitan University, and in 2014 Jessie wrote the first comprehensive comparison of direct-to-fan marketing and retail services, Direct-to-Fan: Which Platform.
