Who Is Jazzy J?

Is the question on some peoples lips as Jazzy J stocks up on pink spraypaint in preparation for her upcoming tour of the South Island. Oh dear watch out. An action packed Summer will end with even more action if you bring your butt along to one or five of Jazzy J’s energetic and crazy awesome gigs. Tears will be shed when it’s all over, just you wait. Hold your breath, no don’t that’s silly.

The recipe is simple for Christchurch artist Jazzy J… you take 1 cup of New Zealand Firefighter, 1 teaspoon of radio Promotion Chick, 1 heaped table spoon of Property investor, mix in an English Professor and stir in a Super Yachtie and what do you get? Some awesome music, amazing lead breaks and full on stage presence. Not everyone has such a diverse Resume. Living in countries such as South Korea, France and Italy – Jazzy J believes people watching is the key to her songs – and when you can’t quite speak the language – you take a lot in.

Her Number One Goal: “To become an internationally successful Rock star that is known from New Zealand. We have soo much talent here, but when I travel people only seem to know about Sheep and Lord of the Rings, they need to know about Jazzy J too!”

Well known for stalking the Summers of the world, it’s quite likely that Jazzy will move on soon, so experience her while she lasts, it would be much more expensive and therefore less enjoyable to travel to France to see her play.

Inspired by artists such as Bon Jovi, Blondie and Led Zep – Jazzy J is determined to take New Zealand music to the world and will break more than a sweat when it comes to putting on a show. (Jazzy is well known for her destruction of recorders). So if you like energy, dancing and great music – get your dancing shoes on or off, and make your way out to one of these sweet sweet South Island Venues!
