local Acts Dominate Juice Tv Awards

Despite going head to head with delayed coverage of the MTV Awards on TV3, the local equivalent – the 2003 Juice TV Awards – generated plenty of attention last night when it broadcast live from Auckland’s Float Bar.

“We are happy to say that the Juice Awards are proving to be a popular fixture on the social calendar – as the 400 or so people who attended last night can attest,” says Programme Director Daniel Wrightson.

Although the awards aim to honour the very best from all over the globe, it was the local acts that shone through, yet another indicator of the current health of Kiwi music.
