Otherwoman team up with Idol Essence for pop-punk/hip-hop protest anthem ‘Riot!’

Coming off the back of their massively successful third ‘Artists for Palestine’ fundraiser show, which raised over $10,000 in one night, and the establishment of their Charitable Trust ‘Artists For Others’, Otherwoman are set to release their latest single: Riot!, a pop-punk/hip-hop protest anthem, featuring trailblazing conscious rapper Idol Essence, who in her budding career has already received cosigns from NZ hip-hop legends such as Rizvan, Melodownz, and more.
From hardships in love, to professional strife, to systemic injustice, Riot! voices internal struggles that will be all too familiar to anyone who listens, of experiencing rage at wrongdoings, but also feeling the need to stay quiet in order to submit to the conformity that is expected of us.
Through it all, Otherwoman once again provides a roadmap for processing these feelings, and standing up to a corrupt and exploitative system.
