Bobby Fitz Releases Debut Single

From Nelson, New Zealand comes Bobby Fitz – the solo project of multi-instrumentalist & producer Robbie Day. After years behind the drum kit with beloved indie rock outfit Mako Road, Day now turns inward, unveiling a new sonic identity on debut single Lullabies (Sweet Glass).
Marking a bold creative shift, Lullabies introduces a sound that fuses raw folk intimacy with soul psychedelia – spacious, unfiltered, and emotionally resonant. The track is the first offering from Stone Walls, the debut EP from Bobby Fitz, arriving August 22 via Wellington independent label Meow.
Influenced by artists like Skinshape, Serebii, Linda Perhacs, and Perfume Genius, Bobby Fitz’s music lives in the quiet spaces – a place where analog warmth meets introspective songwriting. Stone Walls is a debut that explores themes of self-discovery, longing, and loss, with a delicate blend of neo-folk and psych-soul at its core.
Co-produced by celebrated New Zealand artist Serebii, the EP was recorded over a year at his West Auckland studio, following three years of careful writing and development. The result is a deeply personal body of work – cinematic in scope yet intimate in tone.
A special EP launch event will take place in London, UK at a secret location on the EP release day (August 22nd, 2025), with more details to be announced.
