Supporting The Beatniks tonight was another fabulous band form the deep south, Ōtepoti, IVY make achingly beautiful alt rock, that soars and “pulses with the weight of everything unsaid”. Their set included material from their new release, Hush, which includes tunes such as Loon, Invasion, and Tall Grass. If you are looking for a reference point, then think Radiohead or modern Goth. But think deeper, because these boys are something more than a tribute act. Their music emerges from the fog to capture your very soul. Well worth the ticket price.
