From the heart of Aotearoa’s capital, Damiasharko’s creative world exudes the depth of feminine Indie-Rock with starry, angsty soundscapes and vocals that tend to pull on heart strings.

Damiasharko evokes the evolution of isolation and what it feels like to be a young adult living in the windswept city of Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Inspired solely by Aotearoa’s Alternative Indie scene, she draws from acts such as Office Dog, Awning, School Fair and Eveline Breaker to free her expression for the world she asks you to witness. Lead singer and songwriter for Grungegaze band Cruelly, Haylee Hailwood lifts the veil from the anger in this solo project, born in the aftermath of the pandemic in early 2021.
