New Loser is a multi-genre alternative duo from Northland with the members Brett Sutton based in Paihia, NZ and Brent Strathdee-Pehi in the remote community of Kaltukatjara, in NT Australia.
Their debut self-titled album was released in October 2025 with 12 tracks in multiple genres, from pop to reggae to industrial to new wave to alt rock. Tracks Baggage Control feat. Steve Tofa and Outback Cumbia feat. Mike Tauri are nominated as finalists in the 2026 NT Music Awards and January 2026 single Wishing You Well received independent radio airplay in Australia.
The duo are releasing a new song every month from July to December, starting with the prog alt rock Draining The Swamp in July and Dead Before You Die in August.
