The Lineup Returns to Whammy Bar this July

Timeless Records brings The Lineup back to Whammy Bar. Three Tāmaki Makaurau bands, Grapehouse, Groopchat, and Kliffs, share a Friday night built around new indie songs and a shared vibe. It’s an opportunity to catch three bands who took different paths to find their rock energy, all on one stage for one night.
Doors open at 7:30pm, with the first act at 8:00pm. This is an R18 show. Early bird tickets are $15 (+BF), general admission $18 (+BF), and door sales $20 (+BF), available now at Under The Radar.
GRAPEHOUSE
Grapehouse are a four-piece who blend indie-pop and shoegaze into their own dreamy, melodic, noisy style. Their songs dig into anxiety, decision fatigue, and the realities of growing up. Their debut single Thinking Way Too Much captures the intensity of overthinking, drawing comparisons to Beabadoobee, Soccer Mommy, mxmtoon, and girl in red.
GROOPCHAT
Groopchat are a three-piece rock band, formed in 2023. The trio are Huia (bass/vocals), Aiyana (guitar/vocals), and Teina (drums). They draw on the energy of 90’s punk and Britpop, naming bands like Elastica as inspiration, while still creating a contemporary sound that’s uniquely their own.
KLIFFS
Kliffs are a five-piece coastal funk-rock band who started as high-school mates Ziggy, Tague, Arden, Millie, and TJ. Based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, they’ve built a sound from surf rock, reggae, and groove-heavy indie influences, with a passion for songwriting that combines relatable lyrics with a variety of beats and genres.
