No Life share venomous new single ‘Foulmouth’
New Zealand/Aotearoa metalcore quartet No Life are back with their venomous new single Foulmouth, firing jabs at two-faced pretenders in the scene.
Mixed and mastered by Michael Campbell at Crucible Sound, Foulmouth stands ten-toes down and swings for the throat. Taking aim at the complacency of the people around them, it’s gloves off for No Life, who deliver a nasty uppercut with their signature fusion of nu-metalcore and electronics. The track sees the four-piece continue to hone their sound and sharpen their edges as they put the scene on notice.
The new single arrives following a breakout period for No Life, who made serious noise with their last release One Hitter, featuring Aaron Matts and Luka Rozaka of ten56.. Enlisting acclaimed producer Buster Odeholm (thrown, Humanity’s Last Breath, Vildhjarta) to mix and master, No Life delivered a cut-throat track that further cemented their reputation as ones to watch in modern metalcore across Australia and New Zealand.
Their momentum built on the success of earlier single Obnoxious, featuring Frankie Palmeri of Emmure, which saw the band receive international recognition, with Metal Hammer naming the track one of their Tracks of the Week and describing it as “pure venomous rage, perfect if you’re wondering where the subgenre’s spikier, nastier edges have gone”. Wall Of Sound also praised the release as “a ferocious display of modern nu-metalcore”.
Since relocating permanently to Australia, No Life have established themselves a dedicated fan base and earned a reputation for their exciting live show, sharing stages with international and local heavyweights including Silent Planet (US), While She Sleeps (UK), Alpha Wolf, To The Grave, Make Them Suffer, No Face No Case (CZE), Graphic Nature (UK), Ocean Grove and Diesect to name a few.
For fans of metal heavyweights thrown, Sworn In and The Prodigy, No Life set out to carve a name for themselves in 2021 with their pummelling blend of metalcore and nu-metal. Putting a fresh spin on the genre, No Life lace their tunes with a healthy mix of aggressive vocals, chaotic riffage, crushing breakdowns, driving electronic moments and fierce instrumental beatdowns.
