First Artists Revealed for Mānuka Phuel Synthony Festival 2027

Duco Touring has today revealed the first wave of artists set to take the stage at Mānuka Phuel Synthony Festival, returning to Auckland Domain on Saturday 20 March 2027.
The first lineup announcement brings together international and New Zealand heavyweights, led by legendary British DJ and dance music pioneer Paul Oakenfold (UK), “Daytime Disco” five-piece Poolside (USA) making their New Zealand debut, New Zealand powerhouse L.A.B, multi award-winning Kiwi artist Ladyhawke, and one of Aotearoa’s fastest-rising acts, Corrella – alongside the festival’s spectacular headline experience, Synthony.
Leading the announcement is one of the most influential names in electronic music, Paul Oakenfold. Widely regarded as one of the godfathers of modern dance music, the British DJ, producer and remixer has spent more than three decades shaping club culture around the world. Having remixed over 100 artists including U2, Madonna, Moby, Britney Spears, Massive Attack, New Order, The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson, Oakenfold’s impact on electronic music is unrivalled.
Los Angeles-based Poolside, are confirmed to bring their signature “Daytime Disco” sound to Auckland for their first appearance in New Zealand. Created by producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Paradise, Poolside have built a global following through their sun-soaked blend of disco, funk and electronic music. Their acclaimed live show combines the groove of disco with the energy of a full live band, following appearances at some of the world’s biggest festivals including Coachella, Primavera, Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.
Joining the lineup are L.A.B, one of New Zealand’s biggest and most successful acts and a powerhouse of the Australasian live music scene. Selling out arenas and major outdoor shows across New Zealand and Australia, L.A.B have built a formidable reputation around an unmistakable fusion of reggae, soul, funk, blues and electronic music. Armed with multiple mega hits, huge singalongs and an explosive live show, expect banger after banger when L.A.B hit the main stage.
Kiwi artist Ladyhawke also joins the lineup. Since bursting onto the international scene in 2008, Ladyhawke has built an acclaimed career on irresistible pop hooks, and electro-pop anthems. With multiple Aotearoa Music Awards, ARIA Awards and nominations spanning the BRIT Awards, MTV Awards and NME Awards, Ladyhawke has become one of New Zealand’s most celebrated musical artists.
Corrella, one of New Zealand’s fastest-rising bands, complete the first artist announcement. Their breakout smash Blue Eyed Māori made New Zealand chart history as the longest-running #1 single on the Official NZ Singles Chart, while current chart hit Not I continues the band’s remarkable rise. Blending reggae, soul, funk and pop into an unmistakably Kiwi sound, Corrella have quickly established themselves as one of Aotearoa’s most exciting live acts.
Mayor of Auckland Wayne Brown says: “Synthony has grown into one of Auckland’s great homegrown events, and this lineup shows why. Auckland Council Events is proud to back a festival that brings world-class music to our city, showcases Kiwi talent, and gives people another great reason to come and experience all that Auckland has to offer.”
This first announcement offers just a taste of what’s to come, with more artists still to be revealed in the coming months.
Duco Touring Founder David Higgins says, “We’re excited to bring together such a strong first lineup of artists for Mānuka Phuel Synthony Festival 2027. From a true pioneer like Paul Oakenfold and the New Zealand debut of Poolside, to some of Aotearoa’s most loved live acts including L.A.B, Ladyhawke and Corrella, this lineup has something for every kind of music fan.”
“Music reinvented meets the energy drink reinvented, that’s why Synthony was the first festival Mānuka Phuel ever supported. Now Mānuka Phuel Synthony Festival 2027 arrives as we celebrate our second birthday and enter our third year in New Zealand, with L.A.B on the lineup – one of the best live acts New Zealand has produced and, along with Corrella, among the first Kiwi acts we ever got behind. It doesn’t get more full circle than that.” says Alex McDonald, Co-Creator of Mānuka Phuel.
