We Will Ride Fast Release ‘Stuff Your Bones’ Single
Tauranga-based darkwave/psychedelic post-punk project We Will Ride Fast (aka Kyle Sattler) is quite literally not one to slow down, today releasing the single Stuff Your Bones.
Following three stand-alone single releases earlier in 2026 – Unfurl Your Weeds, In Numbers, and You Need You – We Will Ride Fast returned in July with the Sparklehorse-inspired single Our Clouded World. That single coincided with the release of a four-track EP, Stuff Your Bones, Sattler’s first long-form release since 2023.
The EP’s second single is also its title track: Stuff Your Bones dives into the emotional fragility experienced after the death of everyone’s favourite furry family member.
Originally conceived in 2010 under the solo project The Queen’s Birthday as a demo titled Drain The Colours the song was reimagined in 2025 as Stuff Your Bones, a tribute to Green, a much-loved family cat who passed away during that year.
Stuff Your Bones is a celebration on the bonds that shape family, and the important contribution our little friends make to our lives. The video for Stuff Your Bones features animations created from footage of Green’s still living brother Blue, and is in many respects also a celebration of him.
