Mission Gizzard is a four-piece band consisting of two axes, a bass and a drummer. They play a unique style of music that is hard to describe, but it is kind of a cross between ‘Geek Rock’ and ‘Bubblegum Punk’. It is a sound that lets them exert their energy into the music.
Mission Gizzard have been together since the beginning of 2001, and have since made it to the SmokeFree RockQuest final in Christchurch and recorded a 5-track EP to professional quality, which was recorded and produced by Andrew Buckton and Ben Knapp (Sommerset, Augustino, Subtract, The D4 and Foamy Ed).
They have performed with Steriogram, Wash and Stylus.
