The Kiwi collective Sub-Tribe is riding a wave of trans-Tasman momentum following their sold-out Australian tour and Six60 shows.

The release comes as the band builds momentum across Australia and Aotearoa, following a sold-out seven-show Australian tour in September and recent performances alongside Six60. Sub-Tribe have also been announced for Electric Avenue 2027 and Homegrown 2027.

Featuring six tracks, including recent singles Te Waka feat. Casual Healing, For The Land and Mana, the EP blends roots reggae and dub with forward-thinking electronic production, Afro-future R&B and bass-driven sound system culture, weaving te reo Māori throughout.

The first single released from the EP, Te Waka, has already opened new doors for the band, topping the Te Reo Māori Radio Airplay Charts for more than 13 weeks. The single is now top 100 all airplay in Aotearoa (currently at #67 and growing), as well as currently sitting at #4 on the Official top 40 NZ chart for te reo Māori.

The Mana EP captures Sub-Tribe’s evolving identity, bringing together Aotearoa roots, contemporary Australian bass culture and the experience of navigating multiple worlds.

Sub-Tribe – Mana EP is out Friday October 23 via Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa.
