It started with a Thorn 4218 open reel recorder in the early seventies, bouncing sounds together with borrowed instruments in the back bedroom.
These days, it’s digital multitrack. Strangely, still in the back bedroom and, yes Andrew, I’ll get that electric bass back to you next week, promise. Along the way, dropping varsity music courses, turning down recording contracts and being fired (nicely) from professional bands were … well, perhaps not the highlights.
The honest to goodness best bits have been producing other peoples music and writing and recording my own. All mixed in with four children, three careers, two calling birds and one heck of a good time in the back bedroom.
