The Clubhouse to Take Over Auckland’s Waterfront on 12 December

Auckland’s waterfront is set to come alive this summer with the launch of The Clubhouse, a new open-air music and lifestyle event taking over Hobson Wharf on Saturday 12 December.
Running from 4pm to 10pm, The Clubhouse will transform the central city waterfront into a day-to-night gathering – bringing together music, great drinks and a unique waterfront setting for an event unlike anything Auckland has seen before. The Clubhouse is designed to be Auckland’s annual send-off before Auckland breaks for Christmas and summer holidays.
The event is a collaboration between Podis – the Auckland-based sports and entertainment company behind Kiwibank Chasing the Fox and Nexgen Touring, the team behind the hugely successful Coronation Classic festival, and Plans After music events. Together, the promoters are committed to building The Clubhouse into a permanent fixture on the Auckland events calendar, bringing the Hobson Wharf precinct to life every December.
The 2026 event will feature a lineup of international and local talent, including The Jungle Giants (DJ set), Flamingo Pier (DJ set), Little Fritter, Pixie Lane, Bari and Clats B2B Sammy.
The Clubhouse is part of a major weekend of sport, music, and entertainment in Auckland, following Friday 11 December’s Kiwibank Chasing the Fox, before bringing the weekend to a close on the waterfront on Saturday.
Nick Randell at Podis says: “We’re excited to bring this event to life on Hobson Wharf. It’s such a unique spot, on the water in the heart of the city. That last Saturday before the Christmas break is always one of the best days of the year in Auckland.”
Kurt Barker at Nexgen Touring says: “Plans After has built a really loyal following, and taking that energy into a full one-day festival feels like a natural next step. Hobson Wharf is an iconic spot – there’s nowhere quite like it in Auckland.”
Heineken Silver presents The Clubhouse will bring together music, lifestyle and sport across the weekend, with The Clubhouse offering a fresh way to experience Auckland’s waterfront as the city heads into summer.
Tickets go on sale at 7pm today from Plans After, with further event details available via Plans After and Heineken NZ’s social channels.
