Ani Saafa are an electronic punk trio based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) NZ. Distinguishing themselves from the country’s prevailing “reggae rock” sound, and their “shoegaze” influenced peers, the group instead draws from the raw energy of garage rock and punk, laced with all the good parts of EDM. The result is a dynamic and textured marriage of sound that balances grit with melody, and immediacy with atmosphere.
Their debut album Ferrett (Oct 22, 2026) sees them solidifying themselves as one of the most unique acts in music’s current soundscape.
