EP’s are perfect for the reason that they leave you wanting more as soon as the last track finishes, but you’re left with the feeling that it wasn’t long enough to placate your ears.
If you have never experienced that feeling, you will with Hawkes Bay foursome, Diamond Doll band.
In a nutshell, the female fronted four piece, are the perfect blend of melodic heaviness that is oh so reminiscent of My Ruin and Kittie, with traces of punk overtones that make for unforgettable listen, and hopefully one of your new favourite EP’s.
The opening track Possession takes no prisoners and leaves your ears visibly assaulted with its pounding double kick drums and adrenaline high vocals, while third and fourth tracks, Society and Twist have a more defined heavy rock sound; signature metal overtones and punk rock shortness that makes you want to break stuff!
An EP you simply have to get your hands on to believe!
