Hoihoi are an Ōtautahi (Christchurch) / Ōhinehou (Lyttelton) bilingual post-punk band who have been making noise together since 2020.
Hoihoi sing in Te Reo Māori and English about themes such as the idea of home, climate change and more. Their name means be noisy and be quiet (depending on the context!).
Their influences include the likes of Aotearoa legends Die! Die! Die! and faraway legends Pixies and Fugazi.
