Karma In Chaos (previously known as Prolepsis) are a four piece mainstream rock band based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Having performed for the last 10 years under the name Prolepsis with various line-up changes, in 2011 Karma In Chaos decided upon the name change to reflect new direction in the band, and a taste for their new more refined sound.

Frontman Riley Al-Johary projects mature song-writing with a voice to be reckoned with, while Nathan Garton’s guitar riffs pour out loud, thick and solid. Nathan “Paul” Field executes tight bass grooves that have enough “phat” to make even that obese guy at your gym look skinny, & the experience and volume of Carl Hayman on Drums provides the robust backbone of this potent brew.

To put it bluntly, Karma In Chaos’ sound can be described as “No Frills Rock” and “Damn Loud”. Their sound spans from acoustic ballads to intensified rock, which powerfully projects their emphasis on catchy hooks, and punchy energizing beats.

Karma In Chaos have previously released two EP’s, the first produced and engineered at On The Edge Studios in 2004 with the original line-up, and with an evolution of the band in 2008 into the current line up, Karma In Chaos released their second EP (2009) titled Revolve which was recorded at Counterpart Studios & mastered by Angus McNaughton (Che Fu, Kidz In Space, The Headless Chickens).

In late 2010 drummer Carl Hayman called upon the experience of studio producer/engineer Dave Rhodes (Blindspott, Michael Murphy, Tadpole) who had worked with before to help Prolepsis engineer two new singles that promise to take Karma In Chaos to the next level. Mastered by Steve McGough at Stebbing Recording Centre, these two upcoming singles from the band titled High Tide and Four Bronze Horses sound MASSIVE and promise to impress…..

Karma in Chaos are currently on hiatus.
