Night Creams

Night Creams began in early 2023 when Jamie Stone and Rachel Wood bonded over their love of noise and art school connections.

Jamie, wanting to fulfil his lifelong desire to be a drummer, jumped on Rach’s kit in her home studio. Wood plugged her synth and keyboard collection through two loud bass amps, and things started to fall into place.

Two years later, after massive amounts of song crafting, sound sculpting, engineering up-skilling and aural collaboration, their debut album, “Auditions for a Melt Movie” is ready for release.

Rachel Wood is an innovative sound artist with a background in experimental electronic noise. Her work delves into the realms of drone, expressive voice, and improvisation, integrating elements of riff-driven synthesizers.

Jamie Stone is known for his loud indie guitar bands Trucker and Imploder and was winning Waikato Rock awards and Battle of the Bands with his first unit The Nerve back in 1995.

Night Creams are based in Auckland, Tamaki Makarau.
