Originally from Birmingham, UK and now based on the shores of Waiheke Island, Auckland, Sophie Aston is a powerhouse singer-songwriter rapidly cementing her place in the New Zealand music scene. A lifelong writer, Sophie spent years honing her craft privately before stepping out to perform across Tāmaki Makaurau both solo and fronting her live band. Her sound is a compelling, rare blend of intimate, diary-esque lyricism and expansive sonic intensity, floating effortlessly between atmospheric alternative rock and cathartic alt-pop.
