One of the most prolific MCs in drum & bass over the past decade, Tali is celebrated for her ability to blend freestyle lyricism with soulful, intelligent vocals, a combination that’s kept her at the top of her game. Hailing from a farm in Taranaki, she moved to the UK in 2001, signing with Roni Size’s Full Cycle label and releasing Lyric On My Lip, the first ever DnB MC album, with its title track breaking into the UK Top 40.
Over her career, she’s released eight studio albums, earned a NZ Music Award, three Drum & Bass Awards, and a UK chart hit.
Her 2019 album Love & Migration on Fokuz Recordings won Best Electronic Artist at the NZ Music Awards, while her self-produced 2023 LP Future Dwellers earned another nomination. Having collaborated with many of the scene’s most respected names, Tali remains a fixture at festivals across New Zealand and abroad, performing at events like Hospitality On The Beach and Liquicity Festival. Beyond performing, she also runs her own label, Reign Recordings, continuing to champion the next generation of artists.
