Teddyyy is the musical project of Theodore Holmstead-Scott (Rangitāne o Wairau). Raised in Te-Whanganui-A-Tara and based in Tāmaki Makaurau, he studied at Elam School of Fine Arts before co-founding the iconic queer club night NYMPHO.
Teddyyy has opened for hyperpop icons 100 gecs, horsegiirL, Isabella Lovestory, Thaiboy Digital, Ninajirachi, Umru and Doss. His ear-candy SoundCloud edits have garnered over 1,000,000 streams, with his viral Ethel Cain remix featured in JW Anderson’s SS24 show at London Fashion Week. In 2025, he and monoga.my were tapped to DJ at the private ‘Brat Afterparty’ for Charli XCX following her headline Laneway show.
Teddyyy’s music offers an atmospheric, emotionally-driven take on electronic pop. Spectral vocal hooks are woven through a tapestry of trance, hyperpop, ambient and club sounds. His 2024 single, Radio, debuted at #1 on 95bFM and introduced him as a singular voice in Aotearoa’s music landscape.
