“For me, music is a tool of exploration. I use a combination of the MPC Beats D.A.W with midi controllers, bass guitar, voice recordings in English and German and vocal effects, handmade experimental instruments ( such as an electrified Helmholtz acoustic accumulator) and a Sony PS1 running music 2000 for samples and loops.
Most of my tracks feature lyrics I write myself aside from the occasional parody track, I find i get a great joy from hearing the words I put down being sung.
Using these things lets me dig into the lyrics I write from different angles that give my alternative tracks a cinematic feel whether it’s an Industrial or EDM track, often with an orchestral undertone.
Influences include Queen, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails, Billy Idol and 80’s pop rock.
I also create the background music and curate the online music content for an online portal This involves a history of ancient European instruments dating around 32,000 years, making and playing examples of the instruments and recording them.
I’m also the co-founder of the 404 Rhythm NoT FoNd music label and as such I spend time talking to and recording local artists to help them get recorded and released, so much so that I’m building a mobile studio.
When I’m not making music I Write/design role-playing and board games, spend time at the beach or mountain, Fence, 3D print random things, build things, game and read (a lot!).”
