Tonight, Albi and The Wolves will be bringing their upbeat lively show to the stage, opening for disco legends Boney M at the Bruce Mason Centre. Ticketing and more details available here.

New music comes just in time for another momentous occasion in their lives – signing with independent folk music label, Second Hand Records. Albi and The Wolves are the kiwi label’s second signing, alongside the impeccable Fables.

Second Hand Records owner, Finn McLennan-Elliot says about the trio, “Second Hand Records is about community, about pushing the best of folk music in New Zealand to the world. At its core, it is about relationships, Albi and the Wolves have personified this in all the years we have known them. They give their time to projects they admire and love, and they are the first to support a new artist. Years of hard work are paying off and what they are writing now is the best we’ve heard from them yet! It is a great honour to work with them and spearhead the next chapter for the band.”

It has been a mammoth 12 months for the group, after winning Best Folk Album for their debut album Eyes Wide Open at the 2017 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, and more recently completed The Great New Zealand Folk Tour alongside The Frank Burkitt Band and Taranaki favourites, TheSlacks on a fun-filled musical jaunt around the North Island.

The lively crew of 3 – made up of Chris Dent, Pascal Roggen, Michael Young – are currently onboard their New Zealand tour with upcoming shows in the South Island, Central North Island and Hawkes Bay on the near horizon. See below for full list of upcoming dates.
