Announcing Octoblast 2026

Octoblast will return to the forests of Te Arai this Labour Weekend, bringing together three days of music, art, workshops, performance and camping from 23 to 25 October 2026.

Built independently by a crew of friends, artists and volunteers, Octoblast began with a simple idea: to create the kind of festival they would genuinely want to attend.

In 2026, the festival expands across three stages, featuring bass music, techno, psytrance, live bands and everything that finds its way in between. Beyond the dancefloors, festival guests can expect workshops, performances, visual art, forest camping and time to swim, chill and reset at the lake.

Octoblast is not trying to become the biggest festival. Its ambition is to create something that feels alive, a shared adventure in which artists, crew, volunteers and everyone on the dancefloor are equally part of the experience.

After a winter spent throwing parties, gathering the crew and preparing for the next chapter, it is time to take Octoblast outside again.
