Anxiety Club’s ‘Ginger in The Summer’ Now Streaming Everywhere
Previously only available on Bandcamp, fan-favourite Ginger in the Summer is now available on Spotify and all other streaming platforms.
A tune that started with trying to find a rhyme for ‘Heavy Metal Drummer’ that quickly escalated into a challenge to shoehorn as many kiwiana summer cliches into one song. Along the course of the song Hi Ace van love-making is tackled and homage paid to Don McGlashan’s Dominion Road. It eventually becomes an open love letter to Aotearoa, and to the crushing weight of failed rock ‘n roll dreams. And you know what rhymes with Heavy Metal Drummer? Annie Crummer.
