The Captain’s longtime collaborator and former co-writer Henry Hubbard, once known as “100% light-fingered and very much a Man,” disappeared from the troupe in 2013 only to re-emerge in 2018 as the cheese-loving rodent alter ego Mr Cheese. Far from deterred, Captain Festus – ever the champion of diversity and self-expression – welcomed Mr Cheese back with one unbreakable rule: “Do not steal my cheese, Mr Rat!”
