Emerson Teams Up with Ladyhawke for Haunting New Single ‘Breathe’
Breathe is an alt-pop fever-dream produced by New Zealand pop icon Ladyhawke, and is the latest single from Emerson’s upcoming debut EP Leap!
Co-written with Amber Carley Williams and Ladyhawke during Parachute Song Week – a collaborative writing camp (curated by Alice Ivy for women and gender-diverse musicians) – Breathe is about self-sabotage in a relationship and feeling like you would ruin someone if you got too close. The track has been picked up by 9 Apple Music playlists across 150+ countries world-wide, including Today’s Easy Hits and New in Indie.
