Felix Danilo Releases ‘Haunter’
The most unique and cinematic project by Felix Danilo so far. Haunter blends various genres with an overarching dark gothic ambience. Moving between ambient cathedral filling soundscapes, ethereal choir-like vocals, haunting emotional string passages, to heavier moments closer to doom metal, this new soundtrack immerses you in an everlasting dusk.
The opening track ravens sets the sun for you, followed by in the hands of the Sun as you uncover a secret cult. gaze of a solitary soul whirls you away to get lost out over ocean cliffs. The next three tracks, starting with dragon and ending with as they fell, are the soundtrack to an old and epic story of great tragedy. ‘path to the crooked keep’ puts you deep in lonely black mountains, while the final track haunter throws you before the end of the world.
Felix Danilo is an ever-evolving artist, based in Wellington, New Zealand. With each project he ventures into a new soundscape, creating and exploring new emotions and atmospheres.
Since 2020, Felix Danilo has released a total of 9 albums under his own name and a former project SkeletonCrew, along with many more EP’s. Playing a variety of instruments and releasing everything from indie, ambient, house, and metal, each work has something new to offer. With Haunter, Felix invites the listener into a new, darker territory.
He has been playing guitar for over 10 years and has achieved a Licentiate level diploma with the London College of Music. He has recently graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor in Commercial Music, where his final project was a short nature film which he directed, produced, edited, with Noah Crooks, and composed the music for. Felix Danilo has also played and performed in a number of bands, and toured with Elemeno-P and Jordan Luck Band.
