Crowds at the next Parachute Festival won’t need to worry about sleep deprivation now that popular energy drink V has signed on to become a Principle Sponsor of the four-day event.

A beverage supply agreement between Frucor and Parachute will see trademark V initiatives happening on site at Parachute 2011; including an appearance by the V Rocketman, who will fly over the Mainstage on the event’s Saturday night.
The V Rocketman (aka U.S. stuntman Dan Schlund) is flying into the country to make just two appearances in total.

V will also be signing people up to its V Republic fan-base to give special benefits at the Festival, as well as offering product samples.

In addition, the Parachute 2011 Village will feature a large V Experiential site where punters can try a range of fun activities to boost their energy levels.

This is the latest sponsorship signing for next year’s Parachute Festival.

Sanitarium has also signed on as a principal sponsor and the official breakfast provider of Parachute 2011.

The health and wellbeing brand aims to raise $20,000 at the festival by hosting a giant breakfast on the Sunday. For just a gold coin donation, festival-goers will be able to start their day with a Weet-Bix Breakfast. All proceeds will support World Vision’s work to provide food aid to those who need it most.

Parachute Festival punters have donated to the Tubehoneza community for the past four years, raising $233,000 to date.

Other Major Sponsors include World Vision; radio stations Life FM, The Edge and Mai FM; and music TV channels C4 and Juice TV.

C4 will be hosting ‘Parachute’s Got Talent’ at Parachute 2011, with the channel’s Select Live presenter Drew Neemia coming along to host the competition.
