Garden Stage Presents: Sam Cullen & His Band, Borderline And Dani Josie

Rhythm and Vines is bringing a taste of their popular Garden Stage to The Tuning Fork, Auckland on Friday, April 11 2025.
The stellar line-up includes some of Aotearoa’s top tier up-and-coming musicians, all of which have graced the infamous Rhythm and Vines Stage in 2024. Sam Cullen & His Band, Borderline and Dani Josie are looking forward to rocking out with the crowd at The Tuning Fork for an epic Friday night in the big smoke where gig-goers will get to experience three kick-ass bands showcasing the latest in Kiwi talent on the big stage.
As Aotearoa continues to display excellence in the music scene, these three young musical acts are no exception. Attendees will have the chance to win tickets to this year’s Rhythm and Vines festival, merchandise from the artists and more goodies throughout the night.
SOJØURN will kick the night off, winning an opening slot as well as R&V tickets for each member of the band. They are a surf-rock-reggae band hailing from the sun drenched town of Mangawhai Heads, NZ. The band have been blitzing shows across Aotearoa, bringing their vibes since 2019. They’ve just finished off a massive summer of performances including Le Currents & Shipwrecked Festival – and released their debut album Love In The Way back in March. Their performance this Friday will be followed by a North Island tour during NZ Music Month (May) and June 2025.
Over the past 5 years, Sam Cullen & his band have steadily climbed the ladder of success; releasing three EP’s, playing on some of Aotearoa’s biggest stages, selling out headline shows and playing support slots around the country. The summer of 24/25 was Sam Cullen’s biggest yet as he took his 5 piece band on the road, hallmarked by a 3-night residency at Rhythm and Vines. Watch his documentary video from R&V 2024 here. Cullen’s ‘Behind The Vines’ interview has also recently dropped – check it out here!
Tāmaki Makaurau’s Borderline are onto a winning indie pop formula. This month, Borderline will make their live debut in the US, showcasing for the first time at SXSW in Austin, Texas, before performing shows in both New York and Los Angeles. They then return to headline Gardens Stage presents for their NZ fans.
Born and raised in Wellington, 19-year-old Dani Josie burst onto the music scene in 2024 with her debut single Go Go Go. After acquiring the attention of producer Devin Abrams, the two worked together to capture Josie’s authentic and real stories. From a young age, Dani has had an incredible ability to write relevant and relatable songs with unique melodies and uplifting styles. Dani’s lyrics and energy enable her to connect with a crowd beyond the music.
Tickets can be purchased at moshtix.co.nz from $20 and the night will kick off from 7:00pm.
