Jazeerabad Release Emotive Second Single ‘Swallow’ + Video

Hot off the trails of their #2 spot on the ‘Hot 20 Aoteoroa Singles’, Jazeerabad continue the journey of Akbar from ‘Narcissus’ giving us a haunting track depicting the battle one wages against addiction. Swallow is Chapter 4 in a 12-part series following the journey of a confused and chronically heartbroken man. In this particular song, he has finally accepted that his romantic relationship is over, leading him to find the warmth and companionship he lost, within a bottle of whiskey. This song is his struggle of coming to terms with the end, and the will to continue on.

Directed, written, shot and edited by Kiryl Skvarnik (Big Red Cup Productions), Swallow’s visual storytelling aptly portrays the blur that is time-gone-by when one is constantly in a liminal state. All the while being under the influence as a coping mechanism only heightens the paralysis as you watch the world go by.
