As New Zealand Music Month continues across Tāmaki Makaurau, Uptown Business Association is hosting an intimate live performance at Kāhui St David’s that brings together three of Aotearoa’s most exciting emerging artists at a pivotal moment in their careers.

Local Voices @ Kāhui St David’s will feature performances from Geneva AM, Hina, and Jack Moser on May 13 inside the historic Grafton venue. A space increasingly becoming part of Auckland’s contemporary creative and musical landscape.

Curated by Anya Vitali (Cross Street Music Festival, We Create, and longtime friend of Uptown), the evening has been intentionally shaped to highlight artists who are not only creating exceptional music, but who approach art, collaboration, and community with genuine care and professionalism.

Each artist arrives at this performance carrying significant momentum.

Hina recently announced her debut album Descending Dreams, recorded at Roundhead Studios with a seven-piece band and string ensemble. Her latest single, South Pacific Sun, was filmed at Kāhui St David’s itself, with the venue becoming deeply embedded in the emotional and visual language of the project. With a sound rooted in emotional honesty, orchestral warmth, and distinctly Aotearoa textures, Hina is quickly emerging as one of the country’s most captivating new voices.

Geneva AM comes fresh from winning the Auckland Live Independent Debut Award at the 2026 Taite Music Awards for her acclaimed album Pikipiki. A project exploring Māori futurism, whakapapa, and collective imagination. Her performances have become known for their emotional intensity, political consciousness, and ability to completely transform a room. All of which we saw with her amazing performance at our uptown voices series last year.

Alongside them is Jack Moser, the 22-year-old pianist and songwriter whose self-funded Eden Park performance trilogy has resonated widely online for its vulnerability and emotional depth. Performing alone in one of the country’s largest stadiums, Moser transformed the iconic venue into an intimate reflection on loneliness, mental health, and hope.

Uptown has chosen to support these artists because we genuinely believe in them, not only for the quality of their music, but for the thoughtful and deeply human way they move through the creative world.

Rather than a traditional concert setting, Local Voices has been designed as a deeply personal and immersive experience. Allowing audiences to sit closely with artists whose work is beginning to shape the future of Aotearoa music.

The performance will also be professionally filmed, with plans for the recordings to later preview on Juice TV. The event forms part of Uptown’s wider Local Voices series. An ongoing programme of smaller-scale live performances focused on elevating emerging artists and creating meaningful connections between musicians, audiences, and place.

The evening has already seen strong audience response, with over 140 free tickets sold ahead of the event.
