Kaylee Bell Brings Her Voice Back To New Zealand

Kaylee Bell returns to the music scene in New Zealand in a big way, hot off the main stage of Australia’s biggest festival CMC Rocks where she performed to a sellout crowd of 20,000. Bell releases her new single Small Town Friday Nights today, October 7, plus will be appearing on television screens in The Voice, kicking off Friday nights on TV2 also from today.
Small Town Friday Nights is the first single to be released from Bell’s forthcoming EP recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. Inspired by her love for 90’s country music, Keith Urban and Shania Twain, Small Town Friday Nights was written after Bell returned to Nashville where she has once again been working with collaborators both new and familiar, saying “Being back in Nashville was pure joy, confirming my passion to continue writing and recording songs that connect and celebrate where I am from and where I am going.”
Bell competed in The Voice Australia this year, auditioning with her song Keith – a tribute song to Keith Urban which uses Keith’s song titles throughout her lyrics to tell a story with a summertime, Keith influenced feel.
Regarding her audition for The Voice, Bell comments “It was surreal and scary, I had no safety net and no idea what his reaction to the song would be. It was a huge risk but one I knew I needed to take as I have found the music industry incredibly challenging through COVID and I saw The Voice as an opportunity to put myself out there again, take a risk and get the chance to get back in a stage which is something I had really missed.”
Further ahead this year Bell will be performing live in New Zealand at upcoming shows and festivals, dates to be announced soon.
Bell continues to cement her place in the music world, with over 40 million Spotify streams and reigning supreme as the Most Streamed Country Artist for Australasia. Keith topped the Australian Country Music Radio at #1 for five weeks, went to #1 on iTunes across all genres, and is the most streamed Country song for 2022 with over 12 million streams.
