Kyla Greening Releases ‘I Like It’
Kyla Greening’s latest track, I Like It, beams with confidence and a feel-good groove to soak up “feeling good in yourself and giving yourself permission to enjoy the things that make you happy.” Proving a bright and steady footing in R&B, funk, and infectious pop elements, this song serves as a reminder that you don’t need an excuse to have a good time and enjoy yourself.
I Like It came together as a collaboration with multi-faceted producer MoDre Brown, and writer/pianist Lucy Graves, with the track developing around its upbeat energy and playful heart. The final track was mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer Preston Reid.
Kyla Greening is one of Aotearoa’s compelling emerging voices in soul music, blending warm vintage influences with contemporary intersections of genre and sonic textures that make you want to move. This track only further propels Kyla’s musical and discographic roots in connection – to yourself, to your people, and to the things that make you feel most alive, whatever it may be.
