Late June Releases ‘I’d Say Anything To Comfort You’

After a mammoth 2024 which saw the release of a new album Mending, as well as performances at Mystery Festival and Famous Last Words in Auckland, New Zealand-based producer Late June is picking up where he left off with the release of a brand new single I’d Say Anything To Comfort You, the first release as part of a newly signed partnership with DRM/The Orchard.

I’d Say Anything To Comfort You evokes a vibrancy from the word go, with a commanding percussive presence driving the march forward amongst some bright synths and energetic vocals that intertwine with one another to create a joyful listening experience throughout the whole journey.

“I wrote this track about the idea of being in a relationship early and misrepresenting yourself in the hype and build up of an early love by saying things you don’t necessarily mean to comfort someone you love.” – Late June

Late June is the moniker of Aotearoa-based producer Sonny Bevin who boasts an incredibly prolifi c output across a catalogue spanning nearly ten years. He has amassed a considerable following through three albums, EPs and a multitude of singles. These releases have seen significant support from streaming giants Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud and Pandora, as well as tastemaker radio support from George FM (NZ), triple J (AUS). KNHC 89.5 (USA) and SiriusXM Chill (USA).

He’s also created remixes for the likes of Molly Otto (USA), XIXI (FRA), Jedha (USA), Niko Walters (NZ), PINES (AUS), Ark Patrol (USA), We Are Fury (CAN), Shae District (USA) and Rootkit (NOR). In the live arena, Late June is an accomplished DJ and performed at Our:House Festival (2023) alongside MEDUZA (ITA) and Kah-Lo (NGA), Mystery Festival (2024) on the main stage alongside Nicole Millar (AUS), Friction and Vibe Chemistry, Famous Last Words (2024) alongside Pendulum (AUS), and has supported BAYNK (NZ), Nosaj Thing (USA) and Edapollo (UK). He was also selected as part of Converse’s All Star campaign in Eora/Sydney for a workshop with Tyler The Creator.
