Louis Baker Announces Supports for ‘Trouble’ Album Tour

Fresh off the release of his critically acclaimed second studio album Trouble, Louis Baker announces the support acts joining him for the remaining dates of his Aotearoa album tour.
Since the first single release off the album, Trouble has amassed 1.8 million streams, alongside a strong chart debut, post the album’s release on Oct 9th. The album reached #2 on the Aotearoa Albums Chart and #12 on the Aotearoa Top 40 Albums Chart, while four tracks charted on the Hot NZ Singles Chart: Trouble (#10), Flaws (#11), All We Need (#13) and Mighty Tree (#14).
Baker has already completed the first leg of the album tour, performing solo across the South Island last week, with support from Wilson Blackley, with the Queenstown and Wānaka shows selling out within weeks of the tour being announced.
The tour now continues with Baker and his band, beginning in Napier and Mount Maunganui this weekend, before heading next week to Auckland, Christchurch and his hometown of Wellington.
Baker will be joined for these shows by an incredible lineup of talented Aotearoa artists opening each show. Hawke’s Bay singer-songwriter Mason Blair joins him in Napier, with soul and R&B artist Nikau Grace at Mount Maunganui. Auckland welcomes rising R&B and neo-soul artist HOPE, while Wellington-based Samoan singer-songwriter MOZIE opens in Christchurch. For Baker’s hometown show at Meow Nui on 31 October, Louis TM, AJA and MOZIE will take the stage, bringing together a standout lineup of Aotearoa talent.
“I’m stoked to have each of these talented artists opening the shows. There’s so much good music coming out of Aotearoa” says Baker.
The record has received glowing reviews from across Aotearoa and internationally, alongside significant UK radio support. The title track Trouble received airplay on Trevor Nelson’s show on BBC Radio 2, which reaches a weekly audience of 12.6 million listeners, while Mighty Tree was named DJ Spoony’s Track of the Week, on the same station.
NZ Music reviewer Tony Nielsen awarded the album five stars, declaring, “Trouble is the best record I have heard in 2026.”
Graham Reid of The Listener NZ & Elsewhere called it “What an exceptional album! So moving!”, while internationally renowned DJ and producer Laurent Garnier described it as a “Super elegant album.” Robbie Vincent of Jazz FM UK added, “So good, we had to play it twice”, with 13th Floor naming Trouble “One of the truly excellent releases in Aotearoa of 2026.”
