Northern Bass has officially kicked off its biggest year yet, today unveiling the first lineup of artists set to perform at its highly anticipated 15th Anniversary festival.
The first lineup includes: 4am Kru, A Little Sound, Anais, Andy C + Tonn Piper, Axis, Break, Charli Brix, Clova, Culture Shock, Dj Zinc, Dylan C, Emwa, Irah, Ivy Lab, Jme, Joe Hunt, Lamour, Lee Mvtthews, Pearly, Pirapus, Quix, Robustt, Rova, S.P.Y, Songer, Subsonic, Suune, Swindle, Tali, The Upbeats And Waxx Off.
Returning to Mangawhai on Wednesday December 30 and Thursday December 31, the anniversary edition celebrates 15 years of Northern Bass cementing its status as Aotearoa’s premier New Year’s destination for drum & bass, jungle, grime, and electronic music.
The first lineup brings together an exciting mix of international heavyweights, homegrown favourites and rising stars, setting the tone for what organisers say will be the festival’s biggest and most ambitious edition to date.
“Fifteen years is an incredible achievement for everyone who’s been part of Northern Bass. The festival has grown every year, but the heart of it has always been bringing together amazing artists, incredible production and a community that lives for this event,” says promoter Gareth Popham – adding, “the milestone edition is a chance to celebrate how far Northern Bass has come while looking firmly to the future.”
Following last year’s record-breaking event, which sold out in early December and saw more than 3,500 people miss out, demand for this year’s festival is already tracking well ahead of the same point in 2025.
“Last year’s response was unbelievable, and knowing thousands of people missed out has only motivated us to make this anniversary edition even bigger. This first lineup is just the beginning, and we’ve still got plenty more to reveal,” says Popham.
Since launching in 2011, Northern Bass has hosted some of the biggest names in global electronic music while championing the artists shaping Aotearoa’s thriving scene. The 15th Anniversary promises two unforgettable days of world-class music, immersive production and the New Year’s celebration that thousands of festival-goers return to year after year.
With demand already exceeding last year’s pace, fans are encouraged to secure tickets early before the next lineup announcement.
