Samantha Josephine Unveils New Single + Video ‘How To Be In Love’

Blurring the line between memory and reality How To Be In Love arrives as a rough lo-fi exploration of how we learn to love. Guided by a drifting melody and anchored by the tactile warmth of guitar and piano, the track captures the frustration of seeing the world through the faded lens of childhood.
How To Be In Love marks a significant shift in Josephine’s creative process, being the first release where they have performed the piano and drum arrangements alongside their signature guitar work, a multi-instrumental foundation that will define every track in this upcoming series, with some tracks even ditching the guitar all together.
In the accompanying visual, the presence of red paint serves as a visceral marker of interaction, each touch blurring the projections of the past until the present becomes unrecognisable. Reminiscent of the vulnerable delivery of Daniel Johnston, Samantha Josephine delivers a performance that is as fragile as it is honest. This single marks the beginning of a series of releases, with a new chapter of sound and visual arriving every few weeks.
