This week Space brings you a potpurri that doesn’t smell like your Nana’s bathroom. For, you see, it’s a musical one filled with Brit-pop, American lo-fi psychedelic, drum n bass, jazz, Enzed hip-hop, New Zealand’s biggest live band bring you their feel good reggae, and the show starts with a splendid blend of ska/hip-hop/punk.
And if you can’t work out it means on the show is The Transplants, Blur, Katchafire, Carly Binding, Dubious Brothers and Grandaddy.
Also if the international courier thing works out we’ll bring you coverage of last weeks Spacific gig in London, with interviews with MC Tali, Concord Dawn and Nathan Haines. We also talk to people that get paid to write music – the TV themes people and the commercials people.

With her debut album ‘Passenger’ released on 12 June, Carly Binding joins us for an afternoon of horse trekking in the Waiwera hills.
With big names like Barry Palmer (ex-Hunters And Collectors) collaborating on the album and Stellar*’s Chris Van Der Geer and Andrew McLaren producing, the album is sure to set a new standard for the New Zealand pop market.
