TAPZ wins Best NZ Act at the 2017 MTV EMAs

TAPZ has been crowned Best New Zealand Act at the 2017 MTV European Music Awards (EMA).

The awards broadcast live today, Monday November 13, from London’s Wembley Arena, on MTV on SKY Channel 015 and MTV Music – SKY Channel 022.

The Run Don’t Run rapper and singer beat out four other Kiwi acts: David Dallas, Lorde, Maala and Stan Walker to take home the coveted award.

The Wellington-based singer received the most votes from fans online at the official 2017 MTV EMA voting portal. 

The 2017 MTV EMA are hosted by Rita Ora and feature performances by Eminem, U2, David Guetta, Demi Lovato, Kesha, and many more.
