Te Wehi Releases ‘What Ya Talking Bout’

Te Wehi’s What Ya Talking Bout is about all the outside noise that gets stuck in your head. The people talking, judging and doubting you, saying things they probably wouldn’t say to your face, until eventually their voices start sounding like your own thoughts. It’s a message to tell that ‘head noise’ to shut up.

Te Wehi started writing the track on guitar and decided it needed to stay acoustic, allowing the stripped-back sound to keep the focus on the message. The result is an entirely self-produced and performed track, with the artwork itself also drawn by Te Wehi using pen and paper.

What Ya Talking Bout arrives as the second single since his debut album I’m Home, as Te Wehi wraps up his sold-out 15-date NZ & Australia tour.
