The Line-Up: Four Standout Voices Redefining Auckland’s Indie Scene

Catch the next wave of Aotearoa’s indie scene as four artists shaping the future of NZ indie-folk and indie-pop-rock share the Whammy Bar main stage for one night only.
The Line-Up showcases Caleb Wright, Maddy Low, Kenzy, and Goodnight Faith – a cross-section of the sounds driving New Zealand’s new indie era.
CALEB WRIGHT
As drummer from popular local band The Birds, Caleb brings a fresh sound to the NZ Indie scene with his own original music. Based in Tāmaki Makaurau Caleb blends indie, alternative rock, RnB, and pop genres into his unique sound. At Whammy, he’ll be bringing a set of both high energy and intimate songs, supported by his incredible band.
MADDY LOW
Walking the line between vulnerability and power, Maddy’s music connects the emotional resonance of indie-folk to the fire of alt-rock. At 18, the Wellington/Auckland artist has already built a catalogue that ranges between fragile ballads and full pop-rock confessionals. Her latest releases Dragons and I Feel Pretty (Sometimes) establish her as one of NZ’s most fearless new voices
KENZY
An indie-pop artist whose sound blends heartfelt storytelling with an evocative and melodic atmosphere. Backed by her band, Kenzy brings warmth and momentum to every performance, moving her audience with songs that explore love, loss, and coming of age. Powered by an infectious energy, Kenzy creates a live experience that feels both intimate and uplifting.
GOODNIGHT FAITH
Goodnight Faith are a pop-rock quartet hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. Their debut EP Whatever, Anyway includes 5 killer tracks filled with energy, driving riffs, and catchy hooks bound to be stuck in your head. After recently opening for Coast Arcade at the Tuning Fork, they’re now ready to bring that same energy to the Whammy Bar stage.
See what’s happening right now in Auckland’s indie scene – these are the artists people will be talking about next.
